La sedia vuota (ITA – FR – ENG)

La sedia vuota

Lo so. L’ho vista
altre volte seduta a quel tavolo lontano

The empty chair

I know. I saw her
other times sitting at this far table
at the deserted hour of this bar.
She drinks her coffee, her arms resting on the expanse
round of the marble surface. The turned face
to the empty chair on the other side of the table.
The bartender behind the counter, long and straight like a blade
look at his painful hands corroded by the water.
He does not speak to her, he does not even see her.
She’s not waiting for anyone anymore, I know.
A voice whispers to her from the bottom of the heart
girl and suddenly a flash of green and turquoise years.
Closed in her thoughts, she feels
that the roots of silence are growing in the her memory
of those who loved her to madness.
In a few moments, she will rise and disappear
beyond the bar’s window.

She knows. The dark riverfront is waiting

    Versi apprezzati
    Felice sera poeta, silvia

  2. paola scrive:
